Singing Venues

We are currently singing three to four times a month around London.

Hampstead – North London

Second Tuesday singing – 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm
Heath Street Baptist Church, 84 Heath Street, London, NW3 1DN

A two minute walk north up Heath Street from Hampstead tube station (Northern line). Church is on right just after zebra crossing. You can’t miss it. We sing in the basement. Join us in the Duke of Hamilton pub after.

Southwark – Central London

First Thursday and Fourth Thursday singings – 7.30 pm – 9.15 pm

Christ Church Southwark, 27 Blackfriars Rd, London SE1 8NY

A three minute walk from Southwark Underground Station (Jubilee Line) or the Bankside Entrance of Blackfriars Rail Station.

Catford – South London

Third Thursday singing – 7.00 pm – 9.00pm (Note: earlier than the other singings)

The nearest rail station is Catford, and from there you can get the 124 bus, which stops right outside the church (a 10-15 minute bus journey).

Currently this singing is being trialled as a Shenandoah Harmony singing, which is a different book to the Sacred Harp but in the same shapenote tradition. Some loaner books may be available for the session but the music can also be accessed via the below linked website, therefore if you have a wifi enabled tablet that you can read the words from, it might be a good idea to bring it along.
